Sign Street, one of Owen Sound’s top sign manufacturers, is looking for a Graphic Designer/Sign Manufacturer to join our team! The successful candidate will work with the Production Manager to provide the design, quoting and output for primarily large and small format print, signage, as well as digital collateral. Customer service and sales experience is a plus as you will be expected to interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner.

The ideal candidate must:
have 3+ years of graphic design experience
be available to work on-site from our office
have knowledge of typography and colour theory
be proficient with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
be proficient with an Apple operating system and Microsoft Office
have above average math and computer skills
be a team player with a positive attitude
have the ability to meet tight deadlines with attention to detail
have the ability to multitask
have strong problem solving and organization skills
be reliable, responsible and self-disciplined
have a full G-class driver’s license in good standing
as an asset, have the ability to run a large format printer (training provided)
as an asset, have the ability to assist with vinyl application to various substrates and vehicles
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Research, conceptualize and design artwork including, but not limited to: large and small format signage, large and small format print, decals, window graphics, vehicle graphics, branded merchandise, etc.
Implement typography and colour theory skills to all projects
Ensure artwork is meeting brand standards (as necessary)
Edit and proofread to ensure accuracy and the highest standards
Prepare artwork for output/production
Manage uploading of print ready files to vendors & oversee press approvals
Maintain archive of creative job files
Identify opportunities for improvement
Any other duties as assigned by management as required
